TERRIBLEMAN

I first stood and looked down on Machu Picchu almost a decade ago - it took my breath away (though that may have been the long climb while at 3000 metres and being deeply unfit). Seeing it again, the impact is the same - though the ruins themselves are impressive, it is the setting, with Wayapicchu towering over, the dizzying from into the canyon and the neighbouring peaks wreathed in clouds that makes the place.
